Pivoting from an extensive career in television news reporting, Jill followed her quest for greater awareness, positive psychology, and deeper connection with others, which began her journey as a coach. She earned her coaching certification from a renowned coach training program and launched Chernekoff Communications. Since 2003, Jill has coached numerous top business, scientific, and civic leaders. Her prestigious client roster includes AstraZeneca, GSK, Merck, Wharton School of Business, Lincoln Financial Group, Vanguard, TD Bank, Cushman and Wakefield, The Princeton University Medical Center, Penn Medicine, and Spark Therapeutics (Roche).
Jill’s expertise in the art and science of effective communication stems from a 20-year career in network broadcasting. Her talent and drive propelled her from radio newscaster to television talk show host. She gained international prominence as a CNN Headline News anchor and became a household name in the Philadelphia region as the nightly co-anchor of The Fox Ten O’clock News. In her broadcasting career, she learned the value of clear, precise communication, agility, performing under pressure, navigating rapid change, and remaining focused through chaos and uncertainty. She received numerous communication awards for excellence, including an Emmy award for Outstanding Achievement in Health and Science reporting and several Associated Press and Outstanding Communicator awards.
Jill holds a B.S. in Speech-Communication Education from the University of Delaware, a certified coach designation (NCC) in ontological coaching from the Newfield Network, a Professional Certified Coach designation (PCC) from the International Coach Federation, and certification in Applied Positive Psychology.
